Rising Moon on Style Me Pretty!

We are very excited to announce that Rising Moon has been selected by Style Me Pretty to be featured in their “Little Black Book” as their very first Colorado Cinematographer! The Little Black Book features only the most “innovative and chic wedding professionals” that are extensively researched and hand-picked by their team to represent the “crème de la crème” of the wedding industry. Needless to say, we are very honored!

Save the Date!

Once again, we had the privilege to work with Chris Sharber Photography to shoot footage for Erin and Ryan's Save-the-Date video invitations. Erin brought up the idea at their engagement session, and we all agreed it would be a really fun project to work on together! And Erin and Ryan were so fun, easy-going, and approached all of our shot ideas with a great attitude! We incorporated some footage from their engagement session, some photos courtesy of Chris Sharber Photography, and interviews from their parents. Overall, we think it turned out pretty good. Rebecca & David's Love Story

What can you say about Becca & David - they are one couple that are quite obviously truly in love and it shows! The circumstances of how they met seemed to be fate, and they were meant to be together. We met up with Becca, David and Candy Apple Photography at Eldorado Canyon State Park to shoot their engagement session a couple months back, while the fall colors were in full bloom... apparently everyone else in the area took advantage of the beautiful weather and showed up too, since the parking lot was jam packed! It was well worth it, the footage was amazing. Thank you Rebecca and David for being such good sports, and taking the time to share your unique story. See you Saturday!

Heather and Robert Trailer

We had the pleasure of shooting Heather and Robert's wedding at The Sanctuary in Sedalia, Colorado a couple weeks ago. They were such a fun, cute couple to work with! Thanks to their amazing photographer,Travis Broxton, we were able to capture some spectacular moments under the fading light at sunset. Chris & Colleen Highlights

On an usually chilly and overcast day in September, Chris and Colleen tied the knot at the beautiful, historic Cherokee Ranch and Castle. The setting was amazing, the view was breath-taking, and Chris, Colleen and their families were a pleasure to work with. Congratulations, may you have many happy years together!

On a Brisk Fall Day in October...

..Shauna and Brenden said "I do" at the beautiful Tapestry House just west of Fort Collins. The fall colors were at full intensity, and the outdoor site was magical. Even the little bit of rain towards the end of the evening couldn't put a damper on the day. We wish them and their wonderful family nothing but happiness! Congrats!

Shauna and Brenden's Love Story

I met up with Shauna, Brenden and their family, to shoot their love story last week. They definitely win the award for the most interesting "first meeting!" I hear that the video was a big hit at their rehearsal, and I hope they enjoyed being able to share their story with all of their friends and family in this unique way - congrats!

Jennifer and Jason

It was a cool, cloudy fall day in Evergreen, as Summer and I had the privilege of shooting Jennifer and Jason's wedding at the Meadows at Marshdale. The day started out sunny and brisk, but it soon turned freezing! Luckily, the rain held off until just after the ceremony was over. We all headed to the reception in the barn, which was warm and cozy. Thanks for choosing Rising Moon to be a part of your day - we wish you both the best!

Colleen & Chris say "I do!"

We had the honor of shooting Chris and Colleen's wedding at Cherokee Ranch and Castle last Monday... yes, I did say Monday! They chose to get married at such a beautiful location, with a wide sweeping view of the mountains as a backdrop. Chris and Colleen make such a great couple and were very easy to work with, thanks guys! Their video is going to be amazing! I can't wait to start editing. We wish their family many years of love and happiness!

Wedding at the Stanley Hotel

Last weekend we had the pleasure of shooting Karen and Jason's wedding at the Stanley Hotel in Estes Park. The weather and scenery was beautiful. The ceremony was held out on the front lawn, overlooking the mountains and Lake Estes. The reception was held in the charming Music Room inside the hotel. The fun lasted into the night, especially once the dancing got started. Congratulations Karen and Jason, we wish you the best!

Double Header

This Saturday started out bright and early, when we met Amy & Stephen at Red Rocks Trading Post for preceremony coverage of just the two of them. We were all looking forward to shooting at this beautiful location, and unfortunately the weather did not cooperate. Amy braved the wet ground in her beautiful dress to head up to the covered balcony so we were able to get some footage, which turned out pretty well. The bright side is that at least they say it's good luck to rain on your wedding day! We then headed to the ceremony location, with thunder blaring in the background. Special thanks to Kevin with Stalls Videography for helping to cover the reception, and also to Everett with Creative Focus Photography. Good luck in Singapore Amy and Stephen, you are both very talented and I wish you much success. Thank you for choosing Rising Moon to be a part of your special day!

The afternoon found us up at Copper Mountain, with snow flurries on the peak... in August! Unfortunately the damp weather stopped Georgi and Marni from being able to hold their B'not Mitzvah on top of the mountain. Instead the ceremony was held inside Copper Station, and they both did an amazing job! Everyone was having a blast at the cowboy themed reception, complete with a mechanical bull and all. Thanks to Amy Toltz-Miller Special Events for putting together a magical event. Mazel Tov Marni and Georgi, we wish you much success in your futures!

Julie & Billy Tie the Knot!

Last Sunday we had the honor of filming Julie and Billy's wedding at the beautiful Lionscrest Manor. We were all thankful that the rain held off until late, so that they were able to hold their ceremony outside. The view was amazing!
